Q1: Are the electronic control systems compliant with the safety standards and CE?
A1: All systems are compliant with the applicable Cenelec standards. The compliance of the final product (steam cabin or whirlpool) should be addressed by the assembler.

Q2: How reliable are the control switches of the keyboard.
A2: Microfox® strictly utilizes industrial grade micro switches to ensure a reliable operation superior to touch film devices.

Q3: What additional components are required?
A3: All systems are complete and include all applicable control components like electro valves, level sensors, ozone generators etc. Only the 230V line power cable needs to be supplied.

Q4: How are the connections between the components made?
A4: All 230Vac connections are made by screw terminals. Interconnection data cables are pre-wired and equipped with connectors and markings.

Q5: Is it complex and difficult to control many functions from a 4-key control panel?
A5: The functionality is uniform for all products and based on the Foxbus protocol. Depending on the number of functions a switch can be used for multiple commands. Visual indication of the various functions is realized by various LED's on the control panel.

Q6: How maintenance friendly are the steam units, especially in areas with calcinated water?
A6: The steam systems are provided with a special programme to minimize calcification. In extreme environments it is recommended to use the scale removal programme function. The frequency depends on the environmental situation and the usage.

Q7: Are there any restrictions / notifications for the installation of a system?
A7: The installation should be made in accordance with the local regulations. For the control units it is recommended to have the cable glands positioned downwards. Electrical connections should always be made by qualified engineers.

Q8: What is the difference between cavitation and the venturi function in tub system controls?
A8: The cavitation feature reduces the water flow of the pump. A wave effect can be simulated by the interval function. The venturi function of the motorized airvalve controls the amount of air mixed with the water for the hydromassage treatment. A continuous run of the motorized airvalve results in a periodic variation of the hydromassage strength.

Q9: Is it possible to control the flow of the pump, similar to the airflow control of a blower in an air system?
A9: Microfox® has recently introduced a unique device for a step less control of the pump speed over a 10-100% range. The device was designed to control industrial fans but is very suitable in combination with a whirlpool pump. A continuous variation of the pump speed creates a pulsation effect.

Q10: What is the effect of ozone in a whirlpool system? Does it affect human health?
A10: Ozone is effective to kill bacteria in a whirlpool system. This ozone control system offers a safe and efficient way to keep the whirlpool clean rather even during the usage of the whirlpool. It does not harm your health.

Q11: What is FoxBus?
A11: FoxBus is a serial communication bus which allows different devices to communicate. Each control unit is provided with a Master unit which controls different Slave units such as keyboards, sensors, radio, steam generators, chromotherapy lights, CD players, etc.

Q12: What are the advantages in using FoxBus?
A12: There are several advantages such as: only one 3 poles cable reduces wiring at minimum; all systems can be easily expanded with more units; no errors in system connections because units can be cabled in any position; the same cable also supplies low tension power for some of the connected units.

Q13: How can I modify settings in whirlpool baths water level sensors?
A13: Whirlpool baths are provided with one or more water level sensors which, according to the tub material, must be calibrated to determine the correct water level. If after having filled the tub at the wanted maximum level, the green LED will not light, the sensor can be adjusted. The screw can be regulated until the green signal will appear. Empting the tub, the red LED which signals water absence will light.

Q14: Is the Microfox® speed control unit with Triac?
A14: Our device does not use the triac technique of conduction angle control but a Pwm modulation; in this way it is possible to decrease the harmonic content injected to a.c. line and load.

Q15: What kind of load can I use with VAR808 speed control unit?
A15: This device does not have cos fi limitation but according to its manufacturing specifications it is capable of driving any either resistive or inductive load.

Q16: What kind of load can I use with ASP683 speed control unit?
A16: With this device it is possible to use either resistive or inductive loads; to have the best performance it is advisable to use electric motors with cos fi higher than 0.9.

Q17: What are the advantages for electric motors using a Microfox® speed control unit?
A17: The current load is not disturbed by a high level of higher harmonics and the result is a smooth motor torque and low acoustic noise. Consequently, using our device it is possible to obtain a high performance of the whole system.
